What’s the secret to reaching really busy people, who are getting pitched non-stop by every company under the sun?

Make something fun.

The mythical ITBDM…the person every tech company wants to reach. We dug into who these people are - and based on their age, and what they do for a living we were very certain about one thing.

They definitely grew up playing a lot of video games. They definitely are sick of form emails, random sales calls and stay away from LinkedIn because it’s all vendor spam.

We created a completely playable 8-but style retro video game. In the game you play the head of security for a large company that is under a cyber attack. You need to figure out how to repel this attack and save the company. You can talk to advisors and experts to inform your decisions. You can also talk to the office goldfish.

This game became an incredible way for Citrix to connect with this very specific audience in a fun way.

We even created custom arcade cabinets for in-person events and the lobby of Citrix HQ.
