The EIU (The Economist Intelligence Unit) had been researching what it would take to move from fossil fuels to renewables. What they found was that it was completely possible, but would need to be done gradually. Unfortunately in the US, we use too much power to switch all at once. Building renewable infrastructure takes time.

I had to figure out a way to visually present this information people could understand this nuance.

I started by breaking down things state by state. My theory was that people would immediately gravitate to where they lived, because it was something they understood. So I made the state pages the focus.

We also built in a simulator function, so people could increase and reduce different sources of energy, to see how much power it really takes to power a state.
