Everyone knows Birkenstock. They’ve been making sandals since 1774. Everyone loves Birkenstock - hippies, models, retirees, that funny kid from your high school who disappeared midway through junior year and you never saw again.

You know who else loves Birkenstock? Runners. Why? Because when you’re putting in a lot of miles, it’s hard on your feet - and they feel great on your feet after a long run.

Birkenstock wanted to open a new line of business - positioning their sandals as a recovery footwear for runners.

We dug into the world of runners - and running stores, and figured out one universal truth. Whether you’re a 1 mile once a week runner or an ultramarathoner - runners just want to keep running.

We built the campaign on this truth. Runners know that Birkenstock keeps people running. We worked with two well known ultrarunners to bring this story to life. Shooting in Banff Canada and the Colorado Rockies, we created two short films to headline the campaign. We told the story across social and connected TV, reached a lot of runners and helped to open up the recovery market for Birkenstock.
